Luxury lodge idyllically situated on a private woodland estate fifteen minutes from Kenmare in County Kerry. Surrounded by hills, forests and endless nature walks, this 1870's country residence offers 5-Star clients an abundance of modern comforts in a wonderful setting. With large open fires, spacious comfy sofas and massive old style walls the lodge features picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. Guests can relax in the sauna or retire to the study with a selection of books provided. A must visit is that to Creedons' Top Of Coom Pub, Just 5 minutes from The Lodge and has the title of "Highest Pub in Ireland" due to its altitude on the top of Coom. The house sleep 6 - 8 people, consisting of four bedrooms, two double rooms and two twin rooms. Two of the rooms are en suite and there is one main bathroom equipped with bath and sauna. Deer stalking, woodcock and snipe shooting as well as salmon fishing are available to guest at The Lodge. The estate has a well-established population of Sika Deer, which we are culling in a managed and controlled manner. Red Deer have also been sighted on the property. The deer along with the Salmon/Trout fishing on the Roughty and Slaheny rivers are important assets to the estate. The estate holds fishing rights over stretches of the Roughy and Slaheny rivers. The Roughy river is approximately 20 miles long and drains a catchment of 78 square miles. At most water levels the Roughty is an enjoyable class 3-4 run suitable for mixed ability groups. Salmon use both of these rivers for spawning. The best time to fish for Salmon is between the 15th of March and the 30th of September,
